Easter bread, in many places also known as Easter cake or Lenten breaker, is a delicacy that should not be missing on any table at the end of Lent.
From the same bakery from which we receive the Original Dresdner Christstollen® during the Christmas season, we are supplied with Saxon Easter bread during the Easter season. For three generations now, the Easter Bread has been produced by hand in the family business and is a popular delicacy beyond the region.
The Easter bread is cut cross-shaped before baking. According to tradition, this is related to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
