A floral-inspired fragrance image emanates from Caliber 9. This Pinot Blanc exudes an intense scent of quince and Cox orange, with hints of calendula and chrysanthemum. A small bouquet of herbs contributes tart and spicy accents. On the palate, the wine takes off densely packed, mainly thanks to its fruit acidity, which brilliantly illustrates the flavor events and gives it real depth. An elegantly constructed phenolic structure emanates from a touch of tannins, giving Caliber 9 a slightly tart attitude. The wine comes off crisp and dry, with no noticeable residual sweetness to speak of, a Pinot Blanc that has grown far beyond its primary fruit and is much more fun to drink than the light wines so often associated with this grape variety. To dandelion salad with bacon and croutons.
